The warm fragrance of cakes used to fill our home every christmas…..so many cakes , rum cake, carrot cake, sponge cake, white cake chcolate cake, a lill burnt cake and lots of nuts cake . Mum and Dad would get busy a fortnight in advance. We had the aluminum cake case which u had to place over fire and then the electric oven…both would be working over time…mum would have flour on her hair…, dad would do his part with a charming flair….. love the scene..wish i had a camera then…all that added up to our christmas…and memories for a lifetime.
So do your part bake a cake this christmas..fill ur world with the warmth of a christmas cake…put in all your love, get ur hubby to beat the flour and let ur lill one set the timer and wait for the magic to unfold.
its christmas, its the time for sharing , caring, love and cakes.
